..a gurgi and DP xmas
..quiet, yet enjoyable. DP and I spent the day in each other’s pockets.. drinking, munching, making food, opening pressies and watching good ol’ british xmas tv, when not playing the PS2 that is, hehe..
we went out for drinks xmas eve.. headed down into town to a couple of the local pubs.. we shared a couple of crunchie shots.. and got pulled onto a makeshift dancefloor to dance to ‘show me the way to amarillo‘ O_O ..muchly fun 
heading back to the first pub, i got DP to take a pic of high street’s light..
not exactly something i’ve ever seen in Aus.. or if i have.. i wasn’t drunk enuff to appreciate it..hehe looks especially eerie with the fog strategically placed..oh i dunno.. EVERYWHERE! O_O ..kinda screwed up a few of our photographs.. the camera is just that good hehe.. i’ve appropriately titled this pic ‘a foggy xmas eve in welshpool’
tis safe to say that when we got home we slept.. *just smiles ‘n looks around*.. err yeah, so xmas day *giggles* i’m not sure we woke up too early.. prolly about lunch time.. made coffee (trying to shake off our hangovers ‘n wake up).. expecting somewhat of a snowy day.. which of course you know never happened.. we were greeted with this view… LOOK AT THAT CLOUD! ..how the crap? .. it’s like ..’oh i’m sorry.. can’t give ya snow.. but um.. err.. have this cloud‘ lol
after getting over the view, and wow.. what a view! o_O.. we eventually undertook our obligatory pressie opening ceremony.. and i went first.. hehe.. DP got me some super cool furry boot slippers (i chose them.. he said i was cheap O_O).. 3 books: “The Timewaster Letters” by Robin Cooper (funny as!), a Gemini Astrology Horoscope book and “The Zoo Rude Jokes Book” (also funny).. sugar free choccies.. “Spy vs Spy” PS2 game.. funky stripey belt.. hell cute plush ducky (which we’ve called ‘helmet head’).. and i got a bundy rum top from my friend, Shane, and black cat calender (that was sent for both DP and I) from my great gran..
DP’s turn!.. a couple of weeks before xmas i bought im some drives.. a purchase that just couldnt be avoided.. so he got an early xmas pressie.. *pets ebay* ..just so happens thats where i got all his pressies, unfortunately, Welshpool dun have much in the way of variety.. and we dun have a car on the road.. heh.. so firstly.. i got him “The Mighty Boosh” t-shirt.. apparently rare.. i accidently bought 2.. from different sellers.. but luckily he got the betterer one..

i bought DP a gift stocking off of ebay, for the pure element of surprise i think, hehe.. for a decent price ya get a bag filled with 7 pressies.. well.. in his lil gift bag he got.. “Who gives a duck” bath/shower gift pack.. which worked soooo well, considering now my lil girly duckies have a boy ducky to perve on *giggles*.. a real leather black wallet.. some socks (naturally..lol).. cool logic puzzle (which he’s figured out already hehe).. some brandy choccies.. AM/FM shower radio (works spiffy as!) and a beanie.. can’t have too many beanies! ..says someone who has only just started her stripey beanie collection

now.. foooooooooood!! it may have been only the two of us.. but that didnt stop us from making lotsa food.. DP roasted a turkey crown.. and we put together a hell nummies meal of roast turkey, brussel sprouts, peas, carrots, sweet potato, roasted taters and parsnip, yorkshire puddings and loads of gravy!! *drools* .. the amount of turkey we had left over!! ..but that’s an entirely diff blog entry

for sweets.. i was going to make a diabetic-friendly black forest trifle.. but again.. welshpool not being a place of variety.. was unable to get everything i needed.. so DP grabbed a trifle-in-a-box thingie.. had everything ya need to make it.. ya just hadta make it hehe.. so make it i did.. tasted good, but i’m sure my other one woulda tasted betterer.. didn’t stop me from showing it off tho..

for our first xmas together.. it was pretty f00kin’ good! ..here’s hoping we have plenty more.. whether it be here or some place else in the world.. and to close off this entry (finally!!) .. i post a pic of DP playing with a toy he got outta a xmas bon bon.. can’t help but smile at that
