…diabetes consultant no longer needed
Last Wednesday, DP and I made yet another trek into Shrewsbury to see my Diabetes Consultant and Obsetrician.. got some results back from my blood tests and eye screening.. which resulted in my Diabetes Consultant saying he didn’t really need to see me unless I had some drastic turn.. he even asked if I was starving myself to keep my sugar levels within normal range.. 
..so naturally.. that’s great news! I’m really happy about that.. 
Everything looked well.. my bloods were spot on.. until they saw a lil note on the results form circling my platelet count.. which is showing as low.. and in need of closer attention.. so I had to get a retest done.. I haven’t had any calls.. and they usually have their results with 3 days.. so I presume all is well.. and that I just had a ‘one-off’ low reading..*fingers crossed*
My appointments are getting less frequent.. and less involved.. which is weird for me.. my pregnancy is going so well.. it’s almost led independently..
DP and I were talking the other day, I had said that I didn’t think it really hit me yet.. he said summat about me expecting a lot more from this pregnancy.. ie. more drama, etc.. and because it’s been smooth sailing.. it has in fact hit me.. I’m just going with the flow of things.. which given the situation.. was really good insight on DP’s part.. just goes to show that he does know me more than I realised 
..*chuckles* .. *impressed*
so.. I have my appointment with my midwife this week.. and I prolly wont see her either for another 6 weeks after that.. I guess I gotta stop trying to look the gift-horse in the mouth and just accept that my pregnancy’s going well with just going with the flow.. and to let it.. if it ain’t broke.. dun fix it.. so they say 
…as for lil wriggler’s growth.. I can almost feel my belly growing every day.. and the lillun is having great fun kickboxing his daddy’s hand when ever its on my tummy.. I feel a lot more movement now.. and can feel the pressure building up on my insides as he makes himself comfy ‘n plays about..lol ..he still has a fascination with my belly button as well..

Awwwwwww thats soooo sweet!!!!!! I’m glad all is well with you and especially your diabetes (excue the spelling) and I’m sure the platelets are nothing to worry about.
